Thank You

Dear Second Episcopal District Church Family:

My heart is overflowing with joy and thanksgiving to the Second Episcopal District family for your love and demonstration of genuine compassion for the disaster relief victims.

As you very well know, thousands upon thousands of people were affected by the record setting rains and unprecedented floods from hurricanes and other natural catastrophes that slammed into the four areas of Florida, Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi. We will also make contributions to Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic. In addition, we will be contributing to Sierra Leone, where mudslides buried thousands of homes and hundreds of people after torrents of mud poured down under the force of the water.

It is a noble calling to come to the aid of those who desperately need our help. And that is what you've unselfishly done in blessing the disaster relief victims with your generous contributions. Thus, I am grateful to the pastors and presiding elders for following through as we requested so that our collective contributions could be put to maximum use.

Praise be to God! We will be able to make contributions to those in need in all of the affected areas. You will receive a report of contributions by each church and the means of distribution of the funds at the February 2018 meeting in Greensboro, North Carolina.

May we remain ever united as Christians and proud of our heritage as sons and daughters of Allen. Again, thanks for your support in this effort and all the other times that you have come to the rescue of those in need, and simply for being the amazing people that you are!

In the Spirit of Compassion and Empowering the People, I remain, your humble Servant Leader, Bishop James Levert Davis, #4REAL
